About us

Actor and director, author and columnist, François Morel is also - as is less well known - the author and performer of songs that have nothing to envy from the great tradition of Music-hall and what has been nicely called "les fantaisistes". There's plenty of fantasy to be found in this repertoire concocted with his accomplice Antoine Sahler, composer and pianist, who has arranged some songs for the occasion that have never before been performed with orchestra, for an evening that's facetious, laugh-out-loud funny, touching and human. The evening will pay tribute to Jacques Brel with the symphonic poem Jean de Bruges, "grand quartier-maître sur La Coquette, trente ans de mer et de tempêtes", a confidential work performed for the very first time on stage in 2023.

Did you know?

Jacques Brel loved Jean de Brugeshe in kept drecords for them his friends. It even contains some of his future ideas, such as "les langueurs océanes" (ocean languors), which can be found in Amsterdam!
